Counselor's Connection
The guidance and counseling
program is student-centered
and is based on the recognition
of the dignity and worth of the
individual and his/her right to
personal assistance in time of
need. Students are encouraged
to visit the Guidance Center for
advice concerning college
selections, national testing
programs, academic problems,
and registration for the coming
year. When a student's achieve
ment or behavior indicates the
need for adjustment, the
counselor may ask to see the
student. Ideally, the counselor
should serve the needs and
desires of the student;
therefore, most counseling
sessions should be initiated at
the student's request.
Parent-initiated conferences are
also encouraged.
"Good schools, like good societies and good
families, celebrate and cherish diversity."
